Marina's Story:

In life we all meet people we instantly recognise as being good for us, in business the same thing happens.  There are some people who just have “it”.  That certain something that you instantly recognise that makes you want to work alongside someone or have them work for you, and you know without them your business would just not be as successful. 

Tony Burgess and Julie French instantly struck me as being the exact type of people, with the exact type of skills that I needed.

I started my company in November 2006 and had little ideas, and little plans based on my confidence levels and my view of the world in relation to me.  I was introduced to Tony and Julie via the Wings network group and knew instantly that they would help me.  I booked a half day of training for 15th Feb 2007.  That morning proved to be a turning point in not only my business but in my personal life also.

One of the small but key reasons I had gone to see Tony was to try and resolve a confidence issue for picking up the phone and calling people; ie, cold calls, introductory calls and follow ups.  I just didn’t like doing them and would think of all manner of other things to do instead. During the morning Tony worked with me and gave me new tools and ways of thinking.  I left feeling fantastically upbeat and full of enthusiasm and confidence….. and it has grown and grown.

I had not stepped one foot off the drive before I took a call from a lady asking if I did Telemarketing!  My first thought would have been to turn the business away and lose the opportunity.  But the new me arranged to meet her and undertook the work, and she was really pleased with my service and she told all of her contacts.  That lead to more and more telemarketing work, and my telephone has never stopped ringing since.   

Academy of High Achievers has instilled in me a huge and ever growing confidence and enthusiasm for both my business and that of my clients.  So much so, that I have recently been nicknamed not only Miss Motivator but also the Telemarketing Guru!

And guess what I don’t have little plans and little ideas any more, I have big plans, big ideas, big enthusiasm and fantastic confidence because guess what – I am fantastic and I have a fantastically full diary!
